Choosing The Right Printing Sizes for Your Hot Press Machine

Before determining the ideal printing size for your business, it's crucial to understand the standard sizes available in the market. These sizes generally fall into five categories: extra small, small, standard, large, and extra large.

Extra Small Size
These sizes are also referred as the logo and label press category including 4"x 6", 5″x5″, 6" x 6", and 6" x 8". If you require printing on small areas of larger items, these sizes would be the most suitable heat press options to consider.

Small Size
This size range include 9" x 12", 11" x 15", 12" x 15", and 14"x 16". The widely favored A4 size is also part of this category, often sought after by hobbyists. If you're seeking a device for garment decoration but have limited working space, this compact size could be an ideal option for your business needs.

Standard Size
This size range is considered standard for the industry, covering dimensions such as 16" x 16" and 15" x 15". These sizes are typically large enough to accommodate the needs of most decorators. If you're considering starting a print shop or expanding your custom apparel business, and you need to transfer designs onto various items like t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, totes, mousepads, and more, this size range may be suitable for your needs.

Large Size
The standard large size, typically 16" x 20", is one of the two most popular heat press sizes, alongside the 15" x 15" option. It is ideal for standard sizes of t-shirt designs, such as full fronts and full backs. Additionally, it's suitable for tasks like applying names and numbers for sports teams, offering ample space for various design applications.

Extra Large Size
The extra-large size range encompasses heat press sizes ranging from 18" x 20" to a colossal 40" x 64". What Is The Working Principle Of Hot Press Machine?

A hot press is a machine that can first heat up two predetermined solder - coated parts to a temperature at which the solder melts and flows. Then, after curing, a device can be formed between the parts and the solder, which is connected to the electrical and mechanical equipment. So the following to say what is the working principle of the hot press.

For different products, it is a heating rate can be selected. Its one titanium alloy head is capable of ensuring average temperature, rapid temperature rise and extended service life. The head is also designed to be horizontally thickened to ensure an even compression of the components. It also has a digital display of the pressure gauge, which can be preset in the pressure range.

Hot press working principle is also the use of the principle of pulse heating pressure head, a surface of the welding head is through a special design, the welding surface resistance is very small, the current will be in a section of the least resistance to constantly change the voltage to bring up a positive current level. It is then heated rapidly by the welding head. In addition, apply positive pressure on the basis of negative pressure, and then match with a special glue, if it is for the processing of PVC series, its linear position and adhesive force is incomparable to the negative pressure equipment. Because its pressure is larger, the temperature is lower film pressure time, so that the negative pressure equipment in the processing of a deformation of the workpiece.

For hot press working principle is what we have to say hot press is the control of advanced electronic products, and then through adjustment can be carried out on it into the stage, the stage, temperature and film pressure and other processes to automatically complete. Hydraulic press is mainly driven by oil pressure and compressed air, so there should be enough air pressure and volume, vacuum can be adjusted to first low pressure and then high pressure adsorption, and then through adjustment can make the product to achieve an ideal effect.

Dust
Keep working area clean and dust-free. Dust can be detrimental, especilly for electrical components. Use an air duster to clean the electrical components on a regular basis.

Lubrication
Lubricate all the wear points (pistons and rods) with high-temperture lithium grease. If you put in too much grease, wipe off the excess. Failing to lubricate your machine regular will cause the pivot joints to dry out, and be subject to friction and wear. We recommend do it more than once a year.

Keep Upper Platen Clear
A well-functioning platen, is a clean platen! Use a damp, soft cloth to wipe your platen with iron cleaner, alcohol, mineral spirits. Before you start cleaning, make sure to power off your machine.
Important Note: Never use anything rough to scrub off the residue in your upper platen. This can damage the Teflon coating.

Cord
Use the cord that comes with your heat press, other cords may fit but are unable to carry the necessary voltage. To avoid fire and other safety issues do not put cords on or near hot surfaces.

Protect the lower platen
To protect the silicone pad on the lower platen, use teflon. Teflon comes in sheets, covers or pillows. Teflon sheets can be placed on the top of your garments to prevent them from sticking to the upper platen. Teflon covers act like a mattress cover and safeguard the rubber pad. Teflon pillows help distribute pressure evenly when the item has irregular surfaces, such as buttons, collars, or zippers. Teflon should be replaced, when it is ripped, cracked or torn.

Test the temperature
Heat is essential for proper application. Once in a while check the heating platen using a machine test kit. Set the temperature and check the results.
